DSMNRU provides the opportunity for differently-abled students to pursue higher education. DSMNRU was established in 2008 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. The University has 50% horizontal reservation for differently-abled students alongside the normal reservation policy. Furthermore, there are various resource rooms for visually impaired and mentally retarded children. There is also an orientation and mobility unit and sensory stimulation unit. Various medical facilities such as exercise therapy and ultrasonic therapy are also provided to the students. DSMNRU lets differently-abled students pursue their academic dreams in a free environment. DSMNRU has eight faculty offering programmes in the field of arts and music, commerce, management, computer science, information technology, law, science, and special education.
